Punjab Govt approves purchase of SPECT-CT & PET-CT at a cost of Rs15 crore
Ultra modern apparatus will bring efficiency in cancer treatment
In keeping with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s pledge to build world-class healthcare infrastructure in the state, the Punjab government has approved the purchase of new Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT-CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET-CT) machines for the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Sangrur for Rs15 crore.
Approval has also been sanctioned to buy AMC/CMC for Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Sangrur with an additional cost of Rs7.50 crore.
Apart from this, a budget plan for Rs60 crore has been approved against the cess collection while Rs48.75 crore has been withdrawn from the state treasury till date.
