Arrested food dept officials sent to 2-day remand

LUDHIANA : A day after the Vigilance Bureau (VB) arrested two district food and supplies controllers Sukhwinder Singh Gill and Harveen Kaur in an alleged foodgrain transportation tender scam, a local court on Wednesday sent them to two-day police remand. The confederation of officers of Punjab foodgrain agencies have written to the principal secretary and demanded immediate cancellation of FIRS against the officials.
