FESTIVAL ON U’KHAND CUISINE TO BE HELD IN MUSSOORIE AFTER 2 YEARS

MUSSOORIE: Uttarakhan­di cuisine will be promoted during the Winterline carnival which was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic for the past two years. This year the carnival will begin from December 25 to 30, said district administra­tion officials.

The food festival this year will be a five-day affair with a focus on promoting the local cuisines from the state, said officials.

Shailendar Negi, sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), said, “Our focus will be on promoting the rich local cuisines. The preparatio­n for the carnival is in full swing and all the committee meetings have been conducted so far and the talks are on to invite Pritam Bhartwan the local folk singer and Bollywood singer Zubin Nautiyal to perform during Winterline carnival this year”.
