Panipat man held for sodomising 6-yr-old

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and sodomosing a 6-year-old boy in Panipat, police said.

The police said that the accused, identified as Vikram Singh, was living in a rented accommodation at Shanti Nagar in Panipat. He kidnapped the boy by promising him to buy sweets when the victim was playing in the street along with his brother on Sunday.

The boy’s elder brother informed the family, who then filed a complaint with the police. Panipat superintendent of police Shashank Kumar Sawan said that the accused, who works as a security guard in a factory, has been booked under the relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act and the boy has been handed over to his family.
