Simplify litigation process

The concern expressed by the Chief Justice of India regarding the litigation process, justice delivery system and the need to reach out to people is genuine and timely. At present, our litigation process is expensive and time-consuming. It is essential that the process be simplified and made citizencentric. An ordinary citizen can’t afford the hefty fee of advocates. It takes years before the judgment is delivered. Cases of senior and super senior citizens should be heard on priority. The appeal made by the CJI deserves consideration at the highest level and that too at the earliest. NK Gosain Bathinda
