Appreciate any job done with dignity

The Spice of Life, Of BBA chaatwalas, MBA chaiwalas and respecting gigs (HT, November 28), was heartwarming and inspiring. It drove home an important message: At times, having one’s own venture is better than seeking a government job. Opportunities for government employment are as inadequate as before. There is a tough competition for such jobs. Most youngsters are not equipped enough to compete. Self-employment through start-ups offers new and big opportunities for the educated youngsters with entrepreneurial spirit. Any job done with dignity needs be appreciated by society as is the case in the West.
