Look: Velvet bomber jacket and lehenga How you can wear it: “This beautifully-patterned lehenga with a matching bomber jacket looks cool as now you can pair athleisure clothing with traditional wear,” says celebrity stylist Esha Amin. Who should wear it? Says Esha: “Velvet adds a bit of body, so anyone who is fit and in great shape can carry this bomber-lehenga look. Age is just a number, so if you’re fit at 40, you’ll rock this velvet look. The fabric is who you are as a personality more than what your age is!”

Look: Velvet bandhgala with pants and denims How you can wear it: “This classic velvet bandhgala can tone down a formal look like, in this case, it’s been paired with a pastel-hued shirt and folded denims. But if you are younger and want to look chic then wear a sweater underneath it,” says designer Amy Billimoria Who should wear it? “Velvet bandhgala works. across all age groups but can make you look bulky. Medium to small-sized people can pull it off well. If your’e dusky, avoid bright reds, and go for subtle colours,” she adds.

How you can wear it: “A velvet suit is very much in fashion. One can wear it as a set or team it with as logan tee or a soft printed shirt with ruffles to make it formal and plush ,” says designer Nida Mahmood. Who should wear it ?“Ideally it should be worn by women with a small frame and slim body type. It is not advised for healthy women to wear velvet as it will make them look larger ,” she adds.

Who should wear it ?“It works for all age groups and body types provided you are confident enough ,” he says.

It is not about your age, w eight or body type, fashion is all about feeling good about yourself,” he says.

But needs to be w orn in a w ay that doesn’t look bulky or dow dy. A younger person w ho is in shape can pull it off w ith panache,” he recommends.

Who should wear it? “A certain style is needed to pull it off with aplomb – athletic body types and tall frames,” adds Nachiket.
