Kareena wants to explore different things till she’s 70

From doing films as different as chalk and cheese to redefining professionalism for working mothers and trying her hands at a radio show, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has managed it all, and doesn’t want to stop. And, she says she would like to keep exploring “different things” till she is 70 years old.

Kareena — who made her acting debut in 2000 with Refugee — has been in films such as Ajnabee (2001), Asoka (2001), Chameli (2003), Yuva (2004), Omkara (2006), Jab We Met (2007), Heroine (2012), Ki & Ka (2016) and Udta Punjab (2016).

Does she aspire to do something more?

“The idea today is only about content

— and being a part of good content, whether it’s the web, cinema, stage or radio.

Today artists and actors are all about supporting content. I’m just happy that I have got to try my hand... It’s the first time for me. So, lets see... I would like to try different things till probably I am 70,” says the 38-year-old actor who redefined professionalism by returning to work soon after delivering her child Taimur in 2016.

Kareena, who was seen in Veere Di Wedding this year, praises digital platforms. “I’m glad all this is opening up for us,” says the actor, adding, “The content in cinema and different platforms is changing.

There are so many options to do what you want in today’s time and I think it’s the best time to be an actor.”
