Pol­ish dance group per­forms on Bol­ly­wood tracks CHANDIGARH: On the third day of their visit, the Chil­dren’s Folk Group “Ce­pelia-Poz­nañ” from Poland danced on Bol­ly­wood songs at Gu­rukul Global School. Or­gan­ised in as­so­ci­a­tion with Yu­vsatta, NGO, and Ghun­groo Mu­si­cal Club, the 24-mem­ber cul­tural del­e­ga­tion pre­sented var­i­ous folk dances of Poland that are tra­di­tion­ally per­formed at the time of har­vest, change of sea­sons and fes­ti­vals. The Pol­ish chil­dren also went around the Classes to in­ter­act with the stu­dents of the School. Stu­dents visit army ex­hi­bi­tion SAS NA­GAR: The stu­dents of Saupin’s School, Sec­tor 70, at­tended the ex­hi­bi­tion hosted by the In­dian Army at Dussehra Ground on Tues­day. The ex­hi­bi­tion dis­played an ar­ray of weapons and com­mu­ni­ca­tion tech­nolo­gies owned by the In­dian Army, in­clud­ing ar­tillery can­nons, anti-air­craft mis­siles, ar­moured car­ri­ers and var­i­ous im­pro­vised de­vices. The stu­dents of classes 4 and 5 stepped in­side the tanks and ob­serve their work­ing, while army per­son­nel demon­strated the dy­namic band dis­play. SISPS holds tur­ban-ty­ing com­pe­ti­tion SAS NA­GAR: A district level tur­ban ty­ing com­pe­ti­tion or­gan­ised by SGPC, Am­rit­sar was held at Sant Isher Singh Pub­lic School (SISPS) on Tues­day where the stu­dents of SISPS were made aware of their re­li­gion. Their motto of the com­pi­ti­tion was “das­tar ma­han hai, shikhi di shan hai”. Davin­der Singh of Class 11, Har­man­jeet Singh of Class 12 and Manin­der­jeet Singh of class 10 qual­i­fied for district level. Mickey Mouse’s birth­day cel­e­brated SAS NA­GAR: Both the branches of Anee’s School lo­cated at Kharar and SAS Na­gar cel­e­brated the 84th birth­day of ‘Mickey Mouse’, a car­toon char­ac­ter on their school cam­pus. A se­ries of ac­tiv­i­ties, in­clud­ing dance com­pe­ti­tions and dif­fer­ent fun games were or­gan­ised.
