Polish dance group performs on Bollywood tracks CHANDIGARH: On the third day of their visit, the Children’s Folk Group “Cepelia-Poznañ” from Poland danced on Bollywood songs at Gurukul Global School. Organised in association with Yuvsatta, NGO, and Ghungroo Musical Club, the 24-member cultural delegation presented various folk dances of Poland that are traditionally performed at the time of harvest, change of seasons and festivals. The Polish children also went around the Classes to interact with the students of the School. Students visit army exhibition SAS NAGAR: The students of Saupin’s School, Sector 70, attended the exhibition hosted by the Indian Army at Dussehra Ground on Tuesday. The exhibition displayed an array of weapons and communication technologies owned by the Indian Army, including artillery cannons, anti-aircraft missiles, armoured carriers and various improvised devices. The students of classes 4 and 5 stepped inside the tanks and observe their working, while army personnel demonstrated the dynamic band display. SISPS holds turban-tying competition SAS NAGAR: A district level turban tying competition organised by SGPC, Amritsar was held at Sant Isher Singh Public School (SISPS) on Tuesday where the students of SISPS were made aware of their religion. Their motto of the compitition was “dastar mahan hai, shikhi di shan hai”. Davinder Singh of Class 11, Harmanjeet Singh of Class 12 and Maninderjeet Singh of class 10 qualified for district level. Mickey Mouse’s birthday celebrated SAS NAGAR: Both the branches of Anee’s School located at Kharar and SAS Nagar celebrated the 84th birthday of ‘Mickey Mouse’, a cartoon character on their school campus. A series of activities, including dance competitions and different fun games were organised.
