Three vehicle thefts, two burglaries reported
CHANDIGARH: The UT police registered three cases of motor vehicle thefts and two burglaries on Tuesday.
In the first incident, Harwinder Singh of SAS Nagar reported that an unidentified person has stolen his splendor motorcycle parked in front of RBI in Sector-17 on November 26. In another incident Sheela Rajput of Sector-45 reported that her Activa scooter was stolen from the parking of Regional Licensing Authority in Sector 17 on November 21.
Raju Ram of Manimajra reported that his Activa was stolen from outside his residence on November 11. Two burglaries were also reported, where Ramail Singh of Sector-41 reported that Pawan Kumar of Sector-38 stole three brass taps from Sector-41, on November 26. Later the accused was arrested from his residence. In another incident Jagdish Lal of Sector-40 reported that an unidentified person had stolen gold and diamond ornaments b id LCD dR 90,000 on November 26. The family had gone out for a wedding in the neighbourhood, when the incident occurred. A case was registered in all cases. QUACK ARRESTED LALRU: The health department team arrested a quack for running an illegal clinic in Lehli village on Tuesday. The team led by Lalru SMO Dr Diler Singh Multani along with the police seized around 220 types of medicines besides food supplements. Lalru police have registered a case. The team also seized a number of other medicines. The doctor running the clinic, Kishore Kumar Sarkar hailing form West Bengal failed to produce any degree or authorised certificate for running a clinic and confessed that he had no valid degree or certificate to run the clinic.
