Three ve­hi­cle thefts, two bur­glar­ies re­ported

CHANDIGARH: The UT po­lice reg­is­tered three cases of mo­tor ve­hi­cle thefts and two bur­glar­ies on Tues­day.

In the first in­ci­dent, Har­winder Singh of SAS Na­gar re­ported that an uniden­ti­fied per­son has stolen his splen­dor mo­tor­cy­cle parked in front of RBI in Sec­tor-17 on Novem­ber 26. In an­other in­ci­dent Sheela Ra­jput of Sec­tor-45 re­ported that her Ac­tiva scooter was stolen from the park­ing of Re­gional Li­cens­ing Author­ity in Sec­tor 17 on Novem­ber 21.

Raju Ram of Man­i­ma­jra re­ported that his Ac­tiva was stolen from out­side his res­i­dence on Novem­ber 11. Two bur­glar­ies were also re­ported, where Ra­mail Singh of Sec­tor-41 re­ported that Pawan Ku­mar of Sec­tor-38 stole three brass taps from Sec­tor-41, on Novem­ber 26. Later the ac­cused was ar­rested from his res­i­dence. In an­other in­ci­dent Jagdish Lal of Sec­tor-40 re­ported that an uniden­ti­fied per­son had stolen gold and di­a­mond or­na­ments b id LCD dR 90,000 on Novem­ber 26. The fam­ily had gone out for a wed­ding in the neigh­bour­hood, when the in­ci­dent oc­curred. A case was reg­is­tered in all cases. QUACK AR­RESTED LALRU: The health de­part­ment team ar­rested a quack for run­ning an il­le­gal clinic in Lehli vil­lage on Tues­day. The team led by Lalru SMO Dr Diler Singh Mul­tani along with the po­lice seized around 220 types of medicines be­sides food sup­ple­ments. Lalru po­lice have reg­is­tered a case. The team also seized a num­ber of other medicines. The doc­tor run­ning the clinic, Kishore Ku­mar Sarkar hail­ing form West Ben­gal failed to pro­duce any de­gree or au­tho­rised cer­tifi­cate for run­ning a clinic and con­fessed that he had no valid de­gree or cer­tifi­cate to run the clinic.
