BJP MP Saini ups ante, says may float new party at Jind rally in Nov
KARNAL: BJP MP from Kurukshetra Raj Kumar Saini on Monday said he may float a new political party at his Jind rally on November 26.
“At the rally, I will take people’s views whether they are ready to join hands with me for a new political alternative. If they agree we will constitute a committee that will pave way for formation of the new party in the next three months,” Saini said while talking to mediapersons at Karnal on Monday.
He however, said that if people did not support his decision of new political party, he will take another decision.
Without naming anybody, Saini said, “Efforts are being made to thwart the rally and stop people from taking part in it. But this is enough to tell the people of Haryana how they are being forced to live under fear.”
The MP, who is known for his anti-jat stance on the issue of reservation, accused his own party’s government in the state of working under pressure of a “particular” community. “This is the reason behind the anger of the ground-level workers of the party.”
Over the issue of Dadupurnalvi canal, he said the government’s decision to scrap the project will cost heavily, as it will affect people, especially farmers, of the dark zone. He also slammed Congress and INLD leaders for allegedly politicising the issue.
“Though the leaders of all parties are now reaching out to protesting farmers, when I extended my support to them, the people of a particular community took exception to it,” he added.
Reacting over the BJP’S humiliating defeat in the byelection for the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat, Saini said the results an eye-opener for the people.
