Khattar reviews preparations for Shah’s Jind rally
THE CM INSPECTED THE INTERSECTION OF KMPKGP AND NATIONAL HIGHWAY1 AT RAI IN SONEPAT DISTRICT
KARNAL: Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday visited Karnal to review the preparations for BJP president Amit Shah’s Jind rally on February 15. The CM stopped his cavalcade at a private resort on the NH-1 while going to Chandigarh from Delhi and met party workers for a brief meeting.
BJP district president Jagmohan Anand briefed him on the preparations, saying that he will ensure maximum number of bikes for the rally.
The CM also spoke to deputy commissioner Adita Dahiya and asked him to review the developmental works, especially roads, in the district, and ensure people are well served. Expressway and Kundli-ghaziabad-palwal (KGP) Expressway to the people by March 31.
Interacting with the media after inspecting the intersection of KMP-KGP and National Highway-1 at Rai in district Sonepat, the chief minister said that the construction work on these expressway will be completed within the prescribed time.
Responding to a question Khattar said: “In a democratic set up every political party has the right to organise public meetings. It is cheap and disgraceful for other political party to create unnecessary hurdle in such events.
Such acts are a clear violation of democratic norms and would not be accepted at all.”
