PASSIVE EUTHANASIA: ELATION OF DOCS PAINFUL
The honourable Supreme Court has given an important judgment allowing Passive Euthanasia and the concept of a Living Will. This is a very sensitive issue. However, it is painful to hear statements of doctors expressing elation over the judgment. Is there somewhere a wish among these doctors of getting rid of patients, rather than the sickness? I hope they will understand my point and realise their folly. Another critical question is whether the judgment will be implemented in the spirit it has been delivered. Will not truant and ungrateful children make their parents sign a Will and then make them suffer? Who will ensure implementation?
