ANGANWADI STAFF SUSPEND STIR ON CM’S ASSURANCE
AMRITSAR: Anganwadi workers suspended the statewide stir against the Punjab government on Thursday after the chief minister assured to look into their demands after the Shahkot byelection is over. This was disclosed by education minister OP Soni here. Representatives of the All Punjab Anganwadi Mulajam Union met chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on the sidelines of a statelevel function organised here to launch the second phase of the drug abuse prevention officers (DAPO) programme at Tarn Taran where Amarinder Singh gave them teh assurance, Soni said. President of the Anganwadi Workers Union Hargobind Kaur said they have agreed to suspend the stir till the byelection process ends on the assurance of the CM.
