SACRIFICE OF OUR BRAVE SON WILL NOT GO IN VAIN: GEN RAWAT

JAMMU: Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Monday assured the family of slain 44 RR soldier Aurangzeb that supreme sacrifice of brave son of India will not go in vain.

“The army chief visited late rifleman Aurangzeb’s native village Salani in Poonch to meet the bereaved family and condole his death. Speaking to his father Mohammed Hanief, the army chief assured all possible assistance to the family.” said defence spokesman Col NN Joshi.

“He also assured the family that supreme sacrifice rendered by the brave son of India will not go in vain,” he added.

The army chief interacted with the soldiers and complement­ed them for their profession­alism, selfless commitment and loyalty.

He exhorted the troops to continue their work with zeal and dedication to overcome the challenges posted by weather, enemy and terrorism.
