Khattar opens Haryana’s first airport in Hisar
HISAR : Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the first airport of Haryana in Hisar district on Wednesday, on the occasion of Independence Day, and also announced that the size of airstrips in other districts will be increased by 5,000 feet.
On the occasion, the Haryana government also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Spice Jet in the presence of state BJP chief Subhash Barala and finance minister (FM) Captain Abhimanyu.
Addressing a press conference, the CM said, “We have inaugurated the first phase of the airport of Hisar and within two months, flights connecting to Delhi and Chandigarh will be started.”
Khattar unfurled the Tricolour at the Mahabir Stadium and later reached the airport with Barala and Abhimanyu to check the facilities at the airport. Taking a jibe on the opposition, Khattar said, “Some of the opposition leaders are issuing statements that if the airport starts, they will resign. I want to say that the airport will start for the common people very soon, and I request the leaders not to resign.”
He also added that the rates of the flights to Chandigarh and Delhi will be very cheap.
