Fake degree: DU dept waits for nod to visit TN varsity
NEW DELHI : Delhi University students’ Union (DUSU) president Ankiv Baisoya’s alleged fake degree case seems to have created a rift within the varsity.
Department of Buddhist Studies, which is investigating the matter, said it is waiting the administration’s nod to visit the Tamil Nadu-based Thiruvalluvar University to verify Baisoya’s degree. DU has two days to wrap up the inquiry against Baisoya because the Delhi HC on October 30 had given it a deadline of November 12. Head of the department said he has not received any official approval from the registrar’s office.
