Modi will visit Seoul to receive peace prize
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to South Korea in the last week of February to receive the Seoul Peace Prize, a trip that is expected to be one of his last major foreign policy engagements before the general elections.
Modi is expected to be in Seoul during February 21-22, when he will also hold talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, people familiar with developments said.
Last October, Modi was named the recipient of the 2018 Seoul Peace Prize for his contributions to international cooperation and the growth of the Indian and global economies.
He is the 14th person to be awarded the prize established in 1990 to commemorate the success of the Olympic Games in Seoul.
