Ministers visit kin of paramilitary men killed in terror strike, hand over cheques
TARN TATRAN : Punjab minister of forests Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said on Saturday that the state government will construct a sports stadium after the name of Sukhjinder Singh, who was killed in the Pulwama terror attack.
The minster had gone to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man’s home at Gandiwind Dhattal village in the district to pay homage during the latter’s Bhog ceremony. The minister also announced to develop the village under the state government’s smart village scheme.
The minister handed over a cheque of ₹12 lakh to the family while announcing a government job for next to the kin of Sukhjinder .
Paying tribute to Sukhjinder Singh, Dharamsot said, “Sukhjinder had laid down his life for the country. His martyrdom will not be forgotten.”
Harminder Singh Gill, Patti MLA, said the state government is committed to provide every possible help to the family of Sukhjinder . He said all the legislators of the state had already announced to donate their onemonth salary to the families of the CRPF men in Punjab.
Former MLA and Congress leader Jasbir Singh Dimpa, condoling Sukhjinder’s death, assured the family of all help.
Deputy commissioner (DC), Tarn Taran, Pardeep Kumar Sabarwal, Padam Sri Pehlwan Kartar Singh, sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), Tarn Taran, Surinder Singh also paid tributes to Sukhjinder Singh.
INDUSTRY MINISTER GIVES ₹5 L CHEQUE TO DINA NAGAR CRPF MAN
Punjab minister for industry and commerce Sunder Sham Arora handed over a cheque for ₹5 lakh to the father of martyr Maninder Singh at his bhog ceremony in Dinanagar on Saturday. Maninder was one of the CRPF men, who was killed in Pulwama terror attack.
Arora said that the jawans of Indian forces are the greatest wealth of the country and it is due to them that the civilians sleep peacefully.
Saluting the families of martyrs, he assured the bereaved family of the slain jawan that the nation stands behind them .
He said that the chief minister was also to attend Manjinder’s bhog ceremony,but he could not due to some unavoidable circumstances.
Former Punjab minister Laxmikanta Chawla,deputy commissioner Vipul Ujwal, additional deputy commissioner Tejinderpal Singh Sandhu, CRPF assistant commandant Sanjay Kumar among many also paid tribute to the martyr.
