338 INDIANS EVACUATED FROM UK

AMRITSAR: Air India’s special evacuation flight brought back 338 Indians who were stranded in the United Kingdom due to lockdown imposed to avoid spread of Covid-19 pandemic. The flight landed at Sri Guru Ramdas Jee Internatio­nal Airport in Amritsar on Tuesday. Airport director Manoj Chansoria said the flight was operated under the Vande Bharat Mission of the Union ministry of civil aviation. Under the current phase, one more such flight from Singapore is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. Divulging the informatio­n about domestic flights, he said total two flights have arrived and two departed from here.
