2 held for selling masks, sanitisers at high rates

AMRITSAR: The vigilance bureau on Tuesday arrested two persons, including a chemist shop owner, for allegedly selling masks and sanitisers at exorbitant prices in Pathankot. The arrested men have been identified as Karanjit Singh of Tangoshah village in Pathankot, who is a proprietor of Baba Deep Singh Ji Medicine Store, and his worker Deep of Ward No.2 in Pathankot. SSP, vigilance, Parampal Singh He said both the accused have been booked under Sections 420 (cheating) and 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC, and Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.
