MAN, FATHER HELD FOR DOWRY DEATH

MOHALI: Four days after a woman was found hanging at a house in Kharar’s Chajjumajra colony, the husband and his four family members were booked for dowry death on Tuesday. Police arrested victim Shalu’s husband, Rakesh Kumar, and his father, Kuldeep. His mother, brother and sister-in-law are absconding. Shalu had married Rakesh, a grocer, in October 2018. They have an 11-month-old son. Rakesh and his father were sent to two-day police remand.
