The illegal mining menace, which started during the SAD-BJP regime,hascontinu­edunchecke­d, evenastheg­overnmenti­nthesaddle had promised to crush the mafia within weeks upon assuming power in 2017. Instead, illegal land mining has gained ground during the ruling Captain government without the any fear of the law. “Who’ll bell the cat?” is the million dollar question that needs a plausible answer.
