-

CHANDIGARH: The Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) on Thursday demanded cancellation of political strategist Prashant Kishor’s appointment as principal adviser to Punjab CM with cabinet rank.

SAD(D) chief spokesperson and former deputy speaker Bir Devinder Singh said, “If at all they still need him to work for the Congress, let him be appointed as Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar’s chief adviser at the cost of the party coffers. We shall have no objection.”

If Capt had worked sincerely for the welfare of the state, he would not have needed his (Kishor’s) services, he said.

He termed as unethical the Congress government’s decision to put huge financial burden of perks allowed to the new adviser on the government.
