More vaccines will help in fight against virus

This refers to ‘Over 2 billion vaccines to be available by Dec: Centre” (HT, May 14). It was heartening to read that the country will get additional doses of Covid-19 vaccine by year-end. As a result, around 95 crore adults will be covered with two doses of vaccine by December-end. This will certainly help the country in its fight against coronavirus. Let’s hope that apart from increased production of Covishield and Covaxin, there will be new additions of vaccines in the form of injectables and oral medicines.
