Compensation process needs to be fast, simple

The current process of online transferring the enhanced compensation amount of acquired land deposited in executing courts at the district level to the bank accounts of landowners through the treasury takes several months to complete. Farmers have to face a lot of problems and it also gives rise to corruption. Punjab and Haryana high court, on the lines of bank accounts opened in the name of Motor Accident Claims Tribunals as directed by the Supreme Court, should also open accounts in nationalized banks in the name of district judges. Online transfers can be made from this account directly to the bank accounts of the landowners.
