Cases at lowest in 2 years, 8 months

-

With 215 new infections of Covid-19 reported across India on Monday, the country saw the lowest single-day case tally since the early weeks of the outbreak. The last time India saw fewer cases in a day was on March 30, 2020, which was still the first month of the outbreak in India (the first batch of cases were reported on March 3, 2020). Monday’s numbers are also not just a flash in the pan – this decline has been building for several weeks, data shows. The seven-day average of cases (a number which is a better representative of the outbreak) has dropped to 329 – the lowest it has touched since April 3, 2020, or in 969 days.
