North Delhi streets remain in darkness for second day
NEW DELHI: A number of streets in north and north-west Delhi continued to grapple with darkness for the second consecutive day on Friday.
The power distribution companies had discontinued electricity supply to streetlights for non-payment of dues by the Delhi government.
Areas such as Shastri Nagar, Ashok Vihar, Keshavpuram, Shalimar Bagh, Model Town, Rohini, among others, were affected.
Spokesperson of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) maintained that supply would be restored only after the Public Works Department (PWD) paid up the dues.
