Vardhan meets leaders of north, east civic bodies

NEW DELHI: BJP’s Delhi unit president Harsh Vardhan on Friday met leaders of the north and east Delhi municipal corporations.

This was Vardhan’s first meeting with the corporation leaders after taking charge as Delhi BJP chief on Thursday. Former Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel has been made a member of the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.

According to a BJP corporator, the party’s Delhi chief took stock of the working of the civic bodies. “He enquired about the various projects being carried out by the corporations. There were discussions regarding the preparations for the polls ahead,” the corporator said.

Vardhan will meet leaders of the south civic body on Friday, a South corporator said.
