First of its kind in-situ redevelopm­ent project in Delhi Slum dwellers to be shifted to a transit camp from February 24 and the vacated land would be developed

The existing colony is mainly inhabited by puppeteers, snake charmers, magicians and artisans

Part of the public-privatepar­tnership between DDA and Raheja Developers, slum dwellers would be given 2,800 flats

Remaining 5.22 hectares land would be used by the private developer to build residentia­l and commercial pockets that it can sell at market rates With an area of 36 square metres the flats would be located in six 15-storey towers

Each household will be given a Permanent Unique Number to ensure transparen­cy 21 in-situ projects in pipeline
