NEW DELHI: The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Friday submitted all documents related to three cases filed by the anti-corruption branch (ACB) in connection with alleged scams in the water utility.

DJB chief executive officer (CEO) Vijay Kumar had said the documents would reach the ACB on Thursday.

“As stated earlier, we had sent all relevant documents to the ACB on February 20 evening. They were not received due to non-availability of the staff concerned,” a DJB spokesperson said.

The ACB received the documents on Friday morning.

Hindustan Times had reported that even after a week of the ACB having registered three separate FIRs over three scams, that caused a loss of more than `350 crore to the exchequer, the DJB had not sent over the files to the ACB.

On the directive of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, the ACB had filed two FIRs related to purchase of water meters and the third in connection with the board’s Bhagirathi water treatment plant in northeast Delhi.
