UIDAI chairman Nandan Nilekani to contest elections

NEW DELHI: UIDAI Chairman Nandan Nilekani on Friday said that he would resign from his job by the end of March in order to contest the Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket. Nilekani, who is likely to contest from Bangalore south, said he was confident that the UIDAI is in a position where anybody can take it forward from this point. “I will be there for a few more weeks. I will be stepping down by end of March,” Nilekani, who also cofounded the country’s leading software services firm Infosys, told reporters.
