HT EXPOSE IN CASH-FOR-VOTE CASE HEATS UP HOUSE
Members of the Opposition triggered a din in Jharkhand assembly on Friday over the 2012 cash-for-vote controversy. Holding copies of the Hindustan Times, some of the Opposition MLAs jumped into the well and demanded a probe by a special investigation team into the matter. In its Friday’s edition, HT had reported that according to three witnesses of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), 17 sitting legislators of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) took bribes from two independent candidates to support them in the 2012 Rajya Sabha elections.
