States that are created in a hurry will leave future generations in turmoil
Parliament clears Telangana (February 21) points to a sad chapter in the history of
India. While the people of Telangana might be jubilant, the Congress has no reason to smile after this pyrrhic victory. The creation of a new state after so much turmoil will only lead to unending troubles. The best example of this is Pakistan, which was created without a clear understanding and even today the wounds have still to heal.
