RASHMI BHANSALI, HOUSEWIFE
She had spent 20 years in the US before she moved to Sainik Farms in the capital. She had heard about the use of harmful chemicals to make vegetables grow faster and last longer. So she started by growing vegetables for her family on their land in Manesar which is now called Ehsaas Organic Farms. From two customers in the beginning, Bhansali now has around 400 subscribers. She grows all seasonal vegetables and also sources them from farms in Kashmir, Uttarakhand and
Rajasthan. “We are now starting a hydroponic greenhouse at the farm where we will do soilless farming. Small plants can be grown there in stands with water as base under controlled temperature,” she says.
