ANCIENT SPORT GETS MODERN TWIST IN NATION OF LEAGUES

Pro Kabaddi League is an eightteam eight-city league with games to be played in a caravan format, with each team playing each other twice.

The league is recognised by the Internatio­nal Kabaddi Federation and Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India. The teams in the fray are U Mumbai, Dabang Delhi, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Bengaluru Bulls, Puneri Paltan, Bengal Warriors, Telugu Titans and Patna Pirates.

Each team shall comprise minimum 10 and maximum 12 players. Seven players shall take the field at a time and the remaining five on the bench as substitute­s. Each team is required to have three overseas players.

Each match will be of 40 minutes duration, two halves of 20
