NEW DELHI: BJP MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath campaigned for Vikram Bidhuri, candidate from Tuglakabad constituency and MP Manoj Tiwari supported Suman Gupta, BJP party contestant for Chandni Chowk constituency.

Firebrand MP Adityanath, known for his controversial statements and pro-Hindutva remarks, sang a cautious tune at the rally in Harkesh Nagar.

Though, he refused to comment on party-member Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti’s “ramzade vs Haramzade” remark saying he hasn’t heard of anything like this, during his half-an-hour speech at a busy market intersection in Harkesh Nagar, he carefully weaved his “Hindutva” agenda and kept invoking the names of Hindu gods in his speech.

He said unlike the previous government the BJP-led government at the Centre is truly secular because if it releases money for (Kabristan) cemetery for Muslims it also releases money for (samshan) burial ground for Hindu’s cremation, if it releases money for Madarsa it also releases for Mandir and if it releases money for Muslim girlchild it also releases for Hindu girl-child.

Meanwhile, the meeting organized opposite the Gurudwara at Majnu Ka Tila for actor-turned-politician Tiwari was a chaos.

People who were getting impatient were happy once Tiwari reached and started talking in Bhojpuri. Mocking AAP, Tiwari said, “Their pamphlets that say bijli bill half aur pani maaf should be reframed as bijli bill half, paani maaf aur 49 din mein sarkar saaf because AAP could not run the government successfully even for 49 days.”
