Open the door to academia

The article An internal boost for our external affairs (Chanakya, February 8) has highlighted the workings of the ministry of external affairs (MEA). It has been rightly observed that the MEA should include academia and think tanks as in the United States. The Indian Council of World Affairs has a rich library collection. But it is not open to the public.
