The six-time Olympic champions revealed his sponsors wanted him to continue for one more year after the Olympics.

He would, however, only compete in 100 metres at the 2017 World Championship.

The Jamaican holds the world records for the 100 metres (9.58 seconds)

200 metres (19.19 seconds) and 4x100 metres relay (36.84 seconds)
