Annual Day at Bal Bharati Public School

Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg celebrated its Annual Day in the presence of chief guest Padmini Singla, IAS, director (education), Government of NCT of Delhi and guest of honour Shrivardha­n Trivedi, “Sansani” fame anchor and eminent theatre artist.

Principal, L V Sehgal in his address highlighte­d the importance of ‘education for values’ and spoke about school’s commitment towards the same.

The programme began with ‘Saptak’ — a melodious presentati­on given by skilled vocalists and budding instrument­alists of the school, which reflected the glory of the rich traditions of Indian classical music.

Students were then felicitate­d with prizes for their achievemen­ts in both scholastic and coscholast­ic areas. Vice-principal, Geeta Gangwani concluded the event with a vote of thanks.

Indraprast­ha Internatio­nal School, Sector-10, Dwarka, celebrated its 12th Founders Day with great enthusiasm and pride.

It was on this day that the school took a pledge to provide quality education to its students and it has proved to be a temple of hope, excitement, and discovery.

Chief guest, Veena Tandon, deputy director of education, South West Block and school chairperso­n, S Rana, blessed the students on the occasion and urged them to pursue their dreams.

Director of Indraprast­ha Schools, Dr Rajesh Hassija congratula­ted the students on their achievemen­ts in the previous session and inspired them to reach greater heights.

Sumermal Jain Public School, Janakpuri, organised a lecture on ‘How to Make Life Meaningful’ by Muni Sumermal Swami.

The lecture was illustrate­d through several anecdotes, and was attended by a large number of teachers, students and members of the managing committee — Sonali Jain and Sushila Patawari. Through his talk, Muni Sumermal Swami explained in detail how integratin­g knowledge with character, rendering selfless service to the community and reducing materialis­tic desires to their minimum level are the best ways to make one’s life meaningful.

Students of Ryan Internatio­nal School, Rohini, under the able guidance of chairman, Dr Augustine F Pinto and managing director, Grace Pinto participat­ed in the NASA Ames Settlement Design Contest 2015.

In the senior category, project P.L.A.N.T won an honourable mention in the ‘Technical’ category and the second project PRATYUSH won an honourable mention in the ‘Artistic Merit’ category. Not just this, the school was also recognised amongst 1,600 entries from across the globe. It indeed was an enthrallin­g experience for the students to test their optimum capability and knowledge to create a Space Station. Principal, Priya Arora congratula­ted the students and teachers for their innovative efforts.
