NEW DELHI: A toddler and a fiveyear-old girl were allegedly gangraped in separate attacks in the Capital, bringing focus back on rampant sexual violence in the city and sparking a political blame game on Saturday as chief minister Arvind Kejriwal targeted the lieutenant governor and Prime Minister.

Two men on a motorcycle allegedly abducted a two-anda-half-year-old girl from near her Nihal Vihar home in west Delhi, sexually assaulted her and dumped her in the area bleeding profusely. While no arrests have been made in the case, locals thrashed three men accused of raping a neighbour’s daughter in ARVIND KEJRIWAL, Delhi chief minister east Delhi’s Anand Vihar before handing them over to police.

The incidents on Friday night came about a week after a fouryear-old girl was allegedly raped and abandoned in northwest Delhi with bruises and bite marks all over her body, while Kejriwal latched onto the situation to demand control over the city’s police.
