Janakpuri to Sarai Kale Khan BRT Corridor Total length of lanes on 50km roads NEW DELHI: The Delhi government is planning to operate city buses every two to three minutes between Janakpuri and Sarai Kale Khan in order to promote public transport.
The route largely coincides with parts of Ring Road and Outer Ring Road.
“Dedicated buses will run between Janakpuri to Sarai 4 1 5 3 6 2 7 Total cost of the makeover 9 Kale Khan at a frequency of 2-3 minutes. Apart from that, we will run feeder buses from different locations to connect different places on this route,” PWD minister Satyendra Jain said.
The stretch between Janakpuri to Sarai Kale Khan is one of the 10 roads chosen by the government for road redesigning, which includes provision of dedicated bus lanes. A project, involving construction of elevated corridors and flyovers, to Mid-2016: Deadline of the project

Nizammudin Crossing (Ring Road 2) to UP Border make the stretch signal-free is already under way on the stretch and is expected to be completed by December this year.
“Work on the VikaspuriWazirabad stretch was obstructed because of some religious structures coming in the way. The matter is being sorted,” Jain said.
With the stretch soon to become signal free, the initiative to provide buses on the route within minutes won’t be tough.
“Once the on-going projects become operational, vehicles on a major section of the Ring Road and Outer Ring Road would be able to move almost non stop,” a senior official said.
The PWD minister also said they were coming up with a website and mobile applications to keep a check on the quality of roads. “City residents will be able to post pictures and register complaints through these tools,” Jain said. NEW DELHI:
