THE GIRL WAS REPEATEDLY RAPED BY A MAN FROM HER VILLAGE ON THE PRETEXT OF MARRIAGE, BUT HE ABANDONED HER WHEN SHE CONCEIVED

BAREILLY: After a fast track court refused permission for medical termination of pregnancy (MTP), the Uttar Pradesh teen rape victim’s father has decided to file a revision petition against the order in Allahabad high court on Monday.

“We received an attested copy of the fast track court’s order on Saturday and we will file the revision petition in the high court,” said VP Dhyani, the family’s advocate, on Sunday.

He said the girl is almost 30-week pregnant but hope that the high court will permit MTP.

The girl was repeatedly raped by a man of the teen’s village on the pretext of marriage, but he left her when she conceived.

The girl’s father borrowed `8,000 from a local money lender on an exorbitant interest rate before boarding a passenger train to Allahabad from Bareilly on Sunday.

“His (the accused) bail application will come up for hearing on Tuesday, but I will not let him get away easily. He destroyed us and he must feel the pain we are going through,” said the girl’s father.

He added, “They(family of the accused) passed lewd comments in the past but now they openly threaten to kill me and my daughter. I fear for the lives of my family members.”
