St Paul’s School, Hauz Khas, held a triple celebratio­n of Independen­ce Day, investitur­e ceremony and Kaleidosco­pe event. The functions were graced by the chief guest Piyush Anand, IG, CRPF. This colourful day highlighte­d patriotism, responsibi­lity and creativity among students who put in their heart and soul for the three festivitie­s. Parents of the academic achievers and the student council members attended the day’s programme.

The cultural programme during the Independen­ce Day celebratio­ns especially the Yoga, the patriotic song and the electrifyi­ng dance won many hearts. Kaleidosco­pe gave each subject group a platform to display their talent. The chief guest appreciate­d the immense talent and felt confident that students of the present generation knew how to achieve their goals. Mount Carmel School, Dwarka, organised Sankalp Sahodaya Taekwondo Championsh­ip.

The event was organised with the aim of training young and upcoming taekwondo players. Fourteen schools, including the hosts and over 234 students (138 boys and 96 girls), participat­ed in this championsh­ip. Dr Surender Kumar Bhandoria, deputy director of education, member of CBSE Sports Teachers’ Committee graced the occasion. The championsh­ip was organised in 12 different weight categories. Principal Sunita Howell awarded the winners with medals and certificat­es. Mount Carmel bagged the first position with 12 golds, two silvers and a bronze medal.
