INVESTITURE CEREMONY
St Paul’s School, Hauz Khas, held a triple celebration of Independence Day, investiture ceremony and Kaleidoscope event. The functions were graced by the chief guest Piyush Anand, IG, CRPF. This colourful day highlighted patriotism, responsibility and creativity among students who put in their heart and soul for the three festivities. Parents of the academic achievers and the student council members attended the day’s programme.
The cultural programme during the Independence Day celebrations especially the Yoga, the patriotic song and the electrifying dance won many hearts. Kaleidoscope gave each subject group a platform to display their talent. The chief guest appreciated the immense talent and felt confident that students of the present generation knew how to achieve their goals. Mount Carmel School, Dwarka, organised Sankalp Sahodaya Taekwondo Championship.
The event was organised with the aim of training young and upcoming taekwondo players. Fourteen schools, including the hosts and over 234 students (138 boys and 96 girls), participated in this championship. Dr Surender Kumar Bhandoria, deputy director of education, member of CBSE Sports Teachers’ Committee graced the occasion. The championship was organised in 12 different weight categories. Principal Sunita Howell awarded the winners with medals and certificates. Mount Carmel bagged the first position with 12 golds, two silvers and a bronze medal.
