It’s time we respect nature’s importance

-

THE SCIENTIST Albert Einstein said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

Not long before he published his path-breaking research papers, Einstein took a walk in the Alps. He was mesmerised by the beauty of nature and it had a great impact on his life.

Nature is the music of the universe. Its melodious tunes and rhythms have immense power. Unfortunately, we have tarnished nature’s beauty and harmed the environment as we are busy in earning money and getting comforts.

A few years ago, we used to see nature’s beauty, but now it is becoming rare. Peacocks used to dance in the parks, which was a sight to behold. They showed their beautiful feathers and danced with joy in the rain. Today, many people haven’t even seen a peacock.

When crows caw, it is said to signify that a guest will come to our house. Now, the cawing of crows has become rare. Even donkeys, parrots, and rabbits are not seen these days.

No matter what technology you get, no matter how much money you earn, if you don’t love God, you will not be a true being of this universe.

Physics is a subject that deals with the study of nature and its laws. But the world of science has not seen any great theory since the quantum theory and the theory of relativity were propounded.

What is the reason? We have lost the way of looking at nature. We can’t think of new ways of looking at it.

We are not careful about nature any more. And as a consequence, English physicist Stephen Hawking said that if we don’t inhabit some other planet soon, we shall lose all homo sapiens (the human species).

No development can take place without considering the environment, no matter how big a genius one is.

We should leave the car and walk or use a cycle. We can use solar power instead of relying on cooking gas. Only such simple steps will enable us respect nature’s importance and conserve natural resources.
