NEWDELHI: The Delhi government is likely to announce the schedule and guidelines for nursery admission to around 300 private schools built on Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land in a day or two.
Nursery admission in the private schools started on Monday.
Education minister Manish Sisodia said on Monday that the file on this decision was sent to the lieutenant governor’s office on December 23. “I spoke about this issue to the new LG during the oath taking ceremony. I am hoping that permission will be given for this in a day or two and then we will issue guidelines for the 298 schools,” Sisodia said.
Admission to these schools will be based on neighbourhood criterion — the distance between the school and the child’s house.
