Jogawat, a diabetic and weighs 180kg, was operated at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai by Dr Muffazal Lakdawala. He was discharged from the hospital on March 7. He was fine for a few days before developing complications. When his condition deteriorated on Tuesday night, he was admitted to a nursing home in Neemuch.

“I am feeling much better now. I am on antibiotics. I don’t have fever anymore and have started eating,” said Jogawat.

Dr Vipul Garg who treated him said, “He was suffering from both urinary tract infection and stomach infection. His blood test reports showed that infection had spread to his blood. His white blood cell count was high, and he had weak pulse and high blood pressure, so I admitted him. He was discharged when his condition improved.”
