Dhanbad murder accused MLA says not afraid of probe

BJP’s sitting MLA from Jharia, Sanjeev Singh, who is the prime accused in the murder of his cousin Neeraj Singh, on Thursday said he was ready to cooperate with any investigat­ing agency, including the CBI, to help find the real culprits .

Rubbishing the charges levelled against him, Sanjeev said, “I am not scared of any probe. In fact, I welcome the highest level of inquiry in the case. I and other accused connected with me, will extend all cooperatio­n in the investigat­ion and make ourselves available to the police as and when required.”

Addressing a press conference here at his residence, the legislator said, “I came to know of the FIR lodged against me, my younger brother Siddharth Gautam, my political advisor Gaya Singh, my legal advisor Mahant Pandey and my close aide Pintu Singh alias Jitendra Singh through the media.”

“No policeman has approached me so far for interrogat­ion,” he said.
