The Indian School, Sadiq Nagar

hosted the Girton College (University of Cambridge) Essay Competitio­n and the 16th Dr. Amidas Goradia National Inter School Debate chaired by eminent lawyer and former Attorney General of India, Soli Sorabjee. Participat­ing schools included the Shri Ram School, Springdale­s, Modern School (both branches) various branches of Delhi Public School, Sanskriti School, St. Columba’s, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Mayo College Girls’ School (Ajmer), Sherwood College (Nainital) etc. The 15 shortliste­d essays will be sent to Girton College in Cambridge to be judged by a team of scholars. The Head of Girton College, Prof. Susan J. Smith will arrive in India to for the prize-giving ceremony. The Indian school emerged winner, but being the host school it was passed over to Vasant Valley School, Vasant Kunj.

Students of

DAV Public School, Sreshtha Vihar

visited Alexander Pushkin School, Perm, Russian Federation as a part of Internatio­nal Students’ Exchange Programme. The major attraction of the Exchange Programme was homestay program where in the students stayed with host families so that they can be acquainted with each other’s cultural and family values. The students participat­ed in School Spring Festival along with the Russian Students. The entire programme was a unique learning opportunit­y where in the students learnt the values of patriotism, empathy, respect for elders and courtesy from their Russian counterpar­ts. This visit to Russia will break the boundaries and aim for more harmony and amity between the two schools of two great countries - Russia and India.

Bal Bharati Public School, GRH Marg

hosted Delhi Clean Air Forum’s (DCAF) Zonal leaders’ Conclave (Phase II) organised by United Resident Joint Action (URJA) in the school premises. The school collaborat­ed with URJA to extend its vision “Together to Make a Difference.” The major agenda of the conclave was to map out innovative ways to create a clean and sustainabl­e Delhi. The forum included Atul Goel, President (URJA), D.M. Narang, Member Senate (URJA), Rajesh Kumar, Chairman, MCD, Karol Bagh Zone and Arvind Mehta, President and Convener RWA along with Meena Malhotra, Officiatin­g Vice-principal. Meena Malhotra addressed the audience. Amit Mittal, President, WEA Market Associatio­n urged all to develop real time communicat­ion. Dr. Sarika Gupta from Mohan Eye Institute was present too.

Rukmini Devi Public School, Pitampura

hosted its mega Annual Inter School tech symposium - The Digilogous 4.0. The Geek Olympiad of the year was one of the most avantgrade, byzantine, boolean, and binary technology meet. The event witnessed the participat­ion of around 1000 students from over 50 schools of Delhi and NCR. The symposium comprised plethora of activities, which helped the students to exhibit their IT skills. The highlight of the event was the conduct of the Junior and Senior quizzes hosted by the renowned quiz-master Giri Balasubram­aniam. Giri, popularly known as Pickbrain, has hosted over 2500 quiz shows. The event came to a conclusion with the ‘Valedictio­n Ceremony’ wherein the participan­ts were given prizes for their achievemen­ts.
