ATAL TINKERING LAB

-

It was a proud moment for Indirapuram Public School when a Tinkerfest was organised after the inauguration of an Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) recently. The lab became possible after the institution was shortlisted from among more than 13,000 schools which had registered and participated in the innovative project presentation with the Niti Aayog. The eminent guests present were Dr Harish Chaudhary, a senior professor from IIT Delhi; Munibikram, NSIC deputy general manager; Shubham Kumar from Niti Aayog; Vinay Kumar from National Science Centre, and a team that comprised trainers Issac, Shalini, Urvi, and Rutuj from Tech Top, an NGO that works in collaboration with Niti Aayog. The event was also graced by Tapindu Society president Shalini Singh and the heads of Indirapuram Group of Schools. The director and principal, Rita Singh, recounted the journey of getting the prestigious grant from the government of India. She laid stress on how this opportunity would not only be useful for IPS students but also for other keen innovators and children from the community with the keenness to explore, innovate and tinker. She gave credit to laboratory in-charge Monika Gupta and the other staff who had worked hard to establish the ATL. The winning team from Indirapuram Public School will further represent ATL Indirapuram at IIT Delhi at an event.
